Box prices move with size, paper, finishes (foil, spot UV, soft-touch), inserts and quantity. Freight is a big share of landed cost for boxes because they ship bulky — a full 40-foot container is far cheaper per box than a partial shipment. Read how much custom rigid boxes cost.

How much do custom rigid boxes cost?
For small-to-mid rigid boxes with a printed wrap, factory prices we see on real orders run roughly $0.49–$0.95 per box depending on size, closure and quantity (about 1,500 to 40,000+ boxes). Large boxes, specialty paper, foil and foam inserts cost more. Freight and duties are on top, so compare landed cost.
What is a magnetic box?
A magnetic box is a rigid box with a hinged lid that closes with hidden magnets. It is the classic premium unboxing box for gifts, cosmetics, electronics and accessories.
What is a two-piece rigid box?
A two-piece (lid and base) rigid box: a separate lid sits over a base. It is simple, sturdy and usually a little cheaper than a magnetic box.
What is the minimum order for rigid boxes?
Factory-direct rigid boxes usually make sense from about 1,500–3,000 boxes per design. The per-box price drops meaningfully at 10,000+.
Can you add foam or paper inserts?
Yes — EVA foam, sponge, paperboard and molded pulp inserts, cut to hold your product.
How do I avoid scuffed or damaged boxes?
Specify a scratch-resistant (anti-scuff) lamination, ask for corner protection and proper master cartons, and use a pre-shipment inspection. We build all of that into the order.
